The technique used will depends on the location, material used and structure of the building.  Safety of crew and public will be the most important consideration. The first method Implosion involves using explosive to knock down a building from inside out after careful analysis of the blueprint of the building. This method is often use in urban area. The next method High Reach Arm demolition uses base machine fitted with long arm with demolition tools to break down a building.  This method of demolition is used to demolish building of height more than 66 feet.  The third method mention, Wrecking ball method is an old and common technique.  It uses a ball weighting up to 13,500 pounds to either dropped onto or swung into the structure which simply crushes the building with repeated blows.  The last method Selective Demolition method is to strip out, selective materials demolition. It allows builders to reuse or recycle the building’s materials. This method recovers the maximum amount of reusable and recyclable material.  Demolition is one of the most dangerous operations in construction, which ever ways selected, the safety of the demolition crew and the general public is most important consideration.
